Davide Ragazzi is an italian artist, teacher and graphic designer. His last solo exhibition, titled Over the Moon has been setting up, in 2019, in Genoa, Italy, with 40 artworks made from 2001 to 2019.
Davide Ragazzi’s biography
He was born in Chiavari (Italy) in 1974. He completed own education in Italy: a Degree at Arts High School Nicolò Barabino of Genoa, a Degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Genoa and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Painting, Art Education, Drawing, History of Art) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Ragazzi exhibits internationally since 1992.
His artworks are housed in the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and in italian museums and archives (Rome, Turin, Alessandria, La Spezia, Pisa).
In 2010 Ragazzi exhibited two works in a group exhibition opened in Genoa with the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.
In 2005 the artist has been selected for the XXI Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean (Naples, Italy), where he exhibited a big format installation.
In 2004, Italy donated a “Ragazzi” Painting to the United Nations Office: UN Information Service UNIS/VIC/117
During the Italian Presidency of the European Union, in 2003, Ragazzi exhibited a big format painting in the Permanent Mission of Italy to the International Organizations in Vienna.
In 2002, the artist won the 2nd prize of the Contest Premio Salesi (Salesi Prize) by Municipality of Sanremo, Italy.
In 2000, Ragazzi attended an artistic residence at the Kunsthaus Tacheles in Berlin, Germany
In 1997, the artist won the 1st prize of the Contest Forme ed immagini contemporanee (Contemporary shapes and pictures) by Provincial Aministration of Genoa, Italy.
